WHAT I DO

As a seasoned visual communications specialist I am well versed in using design principles regardless of medium to communicate a message to an intended audience. Mindfully using elements of design such as color, empty space, typography, image choice and other nuances to create something cohesive that delivers a visual message is a basic summary of what I do. The thoughtful amalgam of design principles can establish particular moods and incite intended calls to action. This is how visual communications differs from graphic design. Whereas graphic design is all about creating graphics using tools like Photoshop and Illustrator as part of a greater marketing campaign or a website, visual communications is about using visual elements beyond graphics. Visual communications specializes in graphic design and marketing on top of photography, videography, animation, web design and more. Simply put, a visual communications specialist is a jack of all trades, a master of none as the proverb goes, but sometimes it just makes more sense to have a person capable of doing everything in place of having numerous specialists.

Marketing

I am experienced in Photoshop and Illustrator, which are the backbone of graphic creation regardless of medium. Whether working in photography, videography, or web design, graphics manipulation is necessary to make everything come together.

The internet has become an integral part of everyday life. Photos, videos, websites, and social media are all channels of communication that make up online life. As an experienced visual communications specialist I have a versatile set of skills to utilize all its channels.

Ultimately, the goal is to strike a chord or illicit a response from your target audience. Through strategic works of design, through photos, videos, the goal is to be perceived favorably. This is marketing. At its core, marketing is simply doing what it takes to be liked.
